How do I choose the correct size for my gown? Does the normal gown size work?

July 4th, 2007 admin Posted in Measurement |

No. We don’t suggest you ordering a dress using only your gown or bra size. Bridal gowns are meant to have a close fit to the body so they tend to be cut smaller than sportswear. When ordering, you will be asked for your body measurements. Based on those measurements you would order a size that would best fit your own measurements. What happens often is that women fall between two sizes. So we suggest you ordering the size that should fit your larger measurement. For most women that is the waist. Obviously the gown would then be a little large in one area. That can be resolved with alterations. These gowns are made in a way such that alterations will not be a problem. We can not recommend sizes for you.
